More Adventures in Printmaking

Being inspired by my last workshop I decided to learn about other forms of Printmaking. I’ve been binge-watching YouTube videos (I highly recommend Diode Press and Belinda Del Pesco’s video tutorials!).

So I re-learned Lino Cutting and even made my own bench-hook to keep my hands safe (I remember the bloody fingers I got from of Lino printing in school!).

Soon afterwards I booked in to an Etching workshop in March. But first, I needed to learn how to prepare a plate and etch with acid (not just watch more YouTube). So I had a tutorial with a John Hart at Megalo Print Studio. It was so much easier than I thought it would be and I loved it! I’ve become a member of Megalo so I can keep practicing…

Adventures in Printmaking

At the beginning of the year I took a Printmaking workshop with Jo Hollier at the Summer Art Experience (presented by the Artists Society of Canberra). I hadn’t done any printing since Primary School (Lino cutting and  screen printing), and I wanted to learn more.

We did collagraphs, geli-prints and drypoint etching on plexiglass, and I’m hooked!
